After
another successful season of racing, Macdonald Racing has
packed away the gloves for another season, after trekking as
far north as Mackay, and all the way across the border down
to Lismore, New South Wales. Shane's premier season in his
brand new VS Commodore saw a very top notch performance,
with Macdonald capturing 6 feature race wins and 6 third
placings as well as 15 heat race wins. Shane also won the
Queensland Title for the second time in his career, as well
as winning the East Coast A Grade seasonal point score and
coming 4th in the Charlton seasonal point score.
Nathan Macdonald had a slow start to the season, after
obtaining 8 second placings in the feature races, and
winning 3 feature races. Macdonald showed consistency at
his home track, Charlton Raceway, to win the seasonal point
score which drew to a climax on the final night between
Macdonald and Rodney Pammenter. Macdonald just edging out
Pammenter with only 4 points separating the two.
Nathan has now purchased his
brothers VS Commodore which he campaigned all season, while
Nathan Has sold his VL Commodore and Shane is now looking to
take the step up to the Modified Production ranks after
obtaining another VS Commodore.
Macdonald Racing is currently undergoing a facelift so keep
your eyes peeled for the new look website coming soon.
Where ever you are, make sure you come say G'day to the
Macdonald Brothers in the pits on race day!! See you at the
track!
