				Classic

				Friday April 16,
				2010

				Easter Sunday the
4th of April saw the running of the Easter Classic for Modified
				Productions at Charlton Raceway.

				Starting from third
on the grid for heat one, Nathan struggled in the heavy track to go forward,
after sitting in fifth Nathan moved past brother Shane to finish
4th after he was suffering an engine misfire.

				Shane had a front
row start for his first and was running second to Peter Gray for
half of the race challenging on occasions for the lead meanwhile
Trappy was sneaking his nose up the inside of Shane. Shanes car
all of a sudden dropped 2 cylinders, Shane believed it was an
electrical problem and kept battling on and ended up in 7th
Position. Back in the pits it was discovered that a crook Plug
lead had caused the coil pack to throw the towel in and was
quickly replaced by the crew to be ready for the second heat

				Out of position
seven in heat two, Nathan moved his VZ Commodore into 4th when
two laps to go the engine cut out which left Nathan to steer the
car onto the infield, only to start the car back up again with
no problem. After investigating further in the pits, no problem
could be found and the crew crossed their fingers that this
				would not happen again.

				Shane started out of
position 5 for his second heat and Shane managed to gain one
position to come home in 4th Position

				Heat 3 for Shane saw
him start out of position 6. Shane fought for his position and
Brought the car home in 5th spot.

				Going out for heat
three, Nathan needed a good result, but after starting from 5th
position could only manage a 4th at the end of the 10 lap heat.
Nathan and Shane qualified their cars out of 8th and 9th positions
				respectivley for the 30 lap
final.  The track had started to dry out a little back to
where it suits Nathan's car and as the green flag waved Nathan
began moving forward past Mark Ferguson and Dennis Bullpitt.
After working over the back of David Jacobi's car, Nathan found
a gap with a few laps to go to move into 4th, when on the final
lap Macdonald had a lucky break after Jason Jolley's engine let
go and caught on fire which saw Jolley as a non finisher after
being deemed the cause of the stoppage.  The race was
actually declared which left Nathan finishing in 3rd place.
Shane was having a good battle back in the pack and moved
forward to finish in 6th position. Robert Trapp had a great run
through  the night by winning all three heats and the 30
lap final.  Greg Worling finished in 2nd, with Nathan 3rd,
followed by Dennis Bullpitt and Shane Macdonald.
