				Season 2009/2010 saw
a great team result for both Shane and Nathan Macdonald in what
was a stellar season.  Evidence of the siblings rivalry and
results came from the "Totally Speedway Magazine" 2009/2010
Modified Production Driver rankings, where for the past season
Shane was ranked 4th and Nathan 5th. Shane's solid performances
in the Australian Title and winning the 2010 Australian Open
helped his ranking, while Nathan's podium finishes in the
Queensland and Tasmanian titles pushed him up to #5.

Shane started his season off with a
win at Brisbane International Speedway in October.  The
season saw Nathan return with a brand new car and hit the ground
running with a 2nd place in his season opener at Charlton just
				ahead of Shane in 3rd.

				Nathan once again
stepped up to the plate at his home track at Charlton for round
3 of the hotly contested Exide Batteries QLD Series.
Nathan qualified from 14th after a big smash into the concrete
wall in his heats, but found the speed and home track advantage
to come through to finish 2nd behind winner Greg Worling.

				Next event Shane and
Nathan joined forces in contest the 30/30 race at Gympie, with
the pair finishing in 3rd place using Shane's QLD title winning
				car.

				After a lot of
thought, consideration and hard work, Shane and Nathan decided
to compete on a truly National level at the Australian Modified
Production Title held in Tasmania.  Practice night started
well with Shane making the top ten with 9th fastest time, with
Nathan setting the 4th fastest time.  Nathan led the points
chase after the first night with Shane in 13th.  The second
night of racing saw Nathan qualify for the A-main in 3rd with
				Shane in 12th.

				After a unfortunate
accident Nathan was out after damage to his car while Shane come
in with a strong run to finish 5th.

				Nathan also
currently holds the official lap record for Latrobe Speedway.

				The brothers
continued their strong run in Tasmania with Nathan qualifying on
pole for the Tasmanian title a week later at Hobart.
Nathan led the final for half the distance before Andrew
Blackwell found a way past with Nathan finishing in 2nd.
Shane was running 5th until a flat tyre saw him drift back to
				14th.

				Nathan then went on
to claim 3rd in the Easter Classic at Charlton Raceway, and kept
the momentum up with another 3rd placing in the final round of
the Exide Batteries series at Maryborough.  Shane come
through the field to finish 4th.

				Shane and Nathan
always seemed to qualify close to each other at every race
meeting, as was the case at the QLD title in Gympie.  Shane
and Nathan qualified 9th & 10th respectively, while Nathan made
a move early to pass Shane.  The pair then made their way
through driving with a clean pair of heels with Nathan
challenging for the lead in the dying laps.  Nathan crossed
the line in 2nd and Shane come close but was unable to defend
				his QLD title crown.

				Shane continued his
strong run to win the richest Modified Production race in
Australia, the Australian Open held at Maryborough.  Shane
pulled off an emphatic win passing Brett Baxter for the win and
				the $3000 paycheck.

				Nathan then claimed
4th place in the NSW Title held at Lismore Speedway, and while
the results didn't stop there, Shane took Nathan's car up to
Blackwater for the Coal Capital 1000, and come through to claim
				2nd place in the final.

				The new season will
see both Shane and Nathan's engines overhauled, with Nathan's
all but done.  Nathan's first race will be at Charlton on
the 18th September for the $3000 to win event whereas Shane is
still unsure due to work commitments.  Stay tuned to the
