Saturday
the 15th April Nathan Macdonald raced at Yandina Speedway,
this night only having 3 heats as the final for East Coast A
Grade was to be on the following night at Yandina, but
Macdonald travelled back to race at Charlton on the 16th to
					contest the club championship.

					Nathan faired well at Yandina
coming 3rd in heat 1, and then winning both of the following
					heats.

At Charlton on the Easter Sunday night, Nathan started from
position 2 in heat 1.  Macdonald took the lead around the
first corner from Peter Rodgers, the track being in good
condition showing some brilliant speed.  Macdonald led from
start to finish with Rodgers in 2nd, and Norm Townsend 3rd.
Peter Campbell did not finish as his gearbox kept jumping
					out of gear.

					Macdonald started from 3rd place
in heat 2, as he started to find his own groove and make a
pass around the outside of Peter Rodgers to take the lead.
Nathan led the field home with Rodgers coming in 2nd place.

The 3rd heat saw Nathan start
from position 3 again, after a few laps Macdonald worked his
way into the lead, with Peter Rodgers close behind.  Peter
Campbell once again ran into gearbox problems.  Macdonald
won heat 3 from Peter Rodgers and Norm Townsend.

The front row for the Club Championship feature saw Nathan
Macdonald on pole with Peter Rodgers on the outside, Norm
Townsend in 3 and Peter Campbell 4.  Macdonald was able to
get the jump from Rodgers off the start.  As Macdonald
started to work his way through the lapped traffic, there
was a stopage after the club cars had come together.  On the
restart Macdonald led the field away.  It wasn't long until
we come upon lapped traffic, as Macdonald moved up high to
go around a lapped car, he just brushed the car in front,
spinning him on the slick track.  Macdonald not even feeling
the hit and not realising he had done anything.  The
officials who have had it in for Macdonald all season, had
put him to the rear of field behind the other class, club
cars.  Macdonald had 6 laps to get back up the front.
Nathan pushed the VS Commodore to the limit crawling back up
to 3rd place as he received the checkers.

					Peter Rodgers was first across
the line, the Club Championship going to a very deserved
winner.  Peter Campbell sorted out his car troubles to
finish second, a few car lengths behind Rodgers.

Macdonald disappointed that this occurred on a title night,
but now he's even more focused on the East coast a grade
Australian Title at Kingaroy in two weeks on the 29th
					April.
