Raceway on Friday night. The first heat saw Shane on the front
row with Brett Raabe on the inside and Nathan starting at the
rear. After the green, coming into the first corner Rocket was
trying to go around the outside, when he found a wet patch and

put him out for the first heat. On the restart Shane got
straight into the lead with Shane Langton finding his way into
2nd behind Shane Macdonald. Brett Raabe held onto 3rd with
Dennis Bullpitt followed Nathan Macdonald. After 3 or 4 laps
Shane was slowing, only to discover that his right side axle
broke which made him retire. Shane Langton won heat 1
comfortably with Brett Raabe 2nd, Dennis Bullpitt 3rd and Nathan
4th.
Shane's broken
axle put him out for the second heat as well as he couldn't
repair his in time. Heat 2 saw Nathan from pole and Shane
Langton beside him. Langton was able to get around the outside
around the first corner and take the lead, with Nathan following
closely behind. Macdonald was challenging Langton all the way,
getting on the inside of him a few times, until about lap 6 when
Macdonald got past Langton after he pulled out after feeling
loss of power. This showed Macdonald in 1st, followed by Rodney
Pammenter and Dennis Bullpitt. Rocket was closing the gap in
the last few laps but wasn't enough to get past Macdonald. 1st
Nathan Macdonald 2nd Rodney Pammenter 3rd Dennis Bullpitt.

for the podium position, But Nathan nearly spun out on the
