Lismore
Speedway was the venue for another East Coast A Grade race.
A Grade was mixed with another class called the limited
sedans for the night. Nathan's night had ended before it
even started.
Macdonald started from position 4. Nathan got hung out wide
on the wet track, with Pat Dennis and Martin Cross going
by.
Coming into turn 1 on the second lap, Macdonald was right
behind a limited sedan, when Martin Cross had spun out and
appeared on the track facing the wrong direction. Macdonald
had no where to go, slamming into the side of Cross.
Macdonald suffered severe damage to the right front wheel.
Nathan pulled out and headed back to the pits.
Despite our best efforts to
straighten the k-frame for the suspension, the car was
beyond repair and had to put the car on the trailer, pack up
our gear and head home. This was a very unfortunate
incident for the team, through no fault of our own.
After working on it all day, the car has been repaired for
the next meeting at Charlton this Friday night.
