Nathan
Macdonald had one of his best ever seasons of racing over 2006/2007. Only
three events were cancelled due to rain, with one of those being Mackay which
Nathan had travelled to but had to turn around and come home. |

Nathan Macdonald and his trusty band of crew had spent countless days and
weeks in preparation for the QLD Super Stocker Title in Rockhampton to be held
on the 23rd June 2007. Unfortunately not long after starting the journey
on the Saturday, a phone call was received to say the event has been cancelled
due to excessive rainfall overnight and the next day. The car and trailer
were turned around to head back to base. |

Nathan Macdonald put the East Coast A Grade Australian Title under his belt,
claiming honors in the feature race to win the event that he has been chasing
since starting his speedway career. Macdonald lead from start to finish
and was never headed as his come come on strong for the feature. "It's
great to finally win an event that I have not won before, until now!" said
Macdonald. |

The "things with wings" ventured to Kingaroy Speedway on Sunday night (6th
May) in support of the Kingaroy Show. The racing all night was clean and
fast and by far the standout racing class of the night. Nathan Macdonald
was to start from pole position in the 15 lap final, but was given the
opportunity to start at the rear of the field by the track promoter, and if he
come through to take the win, would pocket an extra $100. Macdonald took
up the challenge and managed to pull it off, making his way into the lead on the
final lap, in what was a race that had the very appreciative crowd all on their
feet. |

Rain has caused the cancellation of last nights racing (28th April).
Three heats had been run, as the cars were lining up for the feature races the
rain came down, not heavily but enough to ruin the rest of the night. The
Sprintcar QLD Title was actually run today (29th April) with Andrew Scheuerle
winning the Title. |

Nathan Macdonald came close but not close enough to winning the Australian
Outlaw Title in Mackay held over the Easter weekend. Nathan qualified from
position four with Adam Jorgensen on pole, Jason Boss in 2 and two time winner
of the event Jeff Ohl in 3rd. Martin Cross had qualified from position 5
but did not contest the feature race when he discovered problems with his
engine. |

The final chapter in Sprint Sedans at Charlton Raceway has been closed, with
Nathan Macdonald fulfilling his only wish, to win the final race for Sprint
Sedans at Charlton Raceway. Macdonald didn't have it easy though, having
to come from 8th position in the final after not finishing one heat after an
axle broke. |

Nathan ventured to Brisbane International Speedway on Saturday night (17th
March), but could not manage any better than second place all night, as he
placed second in al three heats and the final, with Martin Cross taking the
feature race win. |

Nathan Macdonald won back to back Queensland Titles at Kingaroy Speedway on
Saturday night. Rain threatened the event early on but a light shower was not
enough to stop the racing. Macdonald made a clean sweep of the night winning
all three heats and the 15 lap feature. Peter Rogers crossed the line in 2nd
and new comer Mark Lester in 3rd. |

Brisbane International Speedway hosted their track Championship Saturday the
10th of February. Terry Medcalf took out the feature win with Nathan
Macdonald securing second and Peter Rogers third. Rain threatened halfway
through the night, delaying the program for an hour before the skies cleared up
again and the rest of the program continued. |

Another year has gone by and Nathan has finished, and started the year off
with a win at Charlton Raceway held on New Years Eve. The track surface
was the best it has ever been, and held up right up until the last race. |

Nathan had his chances of a podium finish dashed when his right rear tyre
went flat whilst running 2nd. After starting 3rd in the feature race
Macdonald was right on the tail of the race leader when he was forced to pull

trophy, and prize pool. There were over 25 cars at the event, with a

Nathan Macdonald started the season off with a win in the East Coast A Grade
QLD Title held at Kingaroy Speedway, which was held in conjunction with the
Kingaroy Peanut Festival. The win was a fitting present which topped off
Macdonald's week after just turning 21 years old on Thursday. |
